For Finn, it would be about the cause. Could they promise that the Order wouldn't regain power, could they promise that Rey and Poe would be okay. Could they tell him, and give him proof that by simply going to this new planet, would the Resistence win? Chances are, though, he agreed to anything close to those three - the idea of that promise would be too much to say no. He'll go, and he'll check it out if it's really going to work, but what's the harm in this much?

Specifically, he would have agreed to go if he was given word that Rey and Poe will be safe. That is what would really convince him, above everything else.

FIT:

In the Order, it wouldn't have been a priority to act on sexual tendencies. They would be taught the biological side of things, would know what it does and how to do it, but (and this is headcanon, more than canon) the Order has used libido suppressants so that it was never an issue between the soldiers. Since leaving the order, Finn's life has changed, drastically. He understands what it means to say yes, and no, and that it completely up to partner of if it happens at all - he doesn't have much practice himself. He's also too quick to want to please, especially with anyone he would want to have sex with, and it would depend entirely on their interest and excitement for it.

He isn't embarrassed about it, per say. He is just a little sensitive to how much he doesn't know yet. But where he doesn't have experience, he has an objective understanding of how it works. Of where consent comes into play first, before the act of it follows. He doesn't have hang-ups, just hesitance, for something he doesn't quite know about yet.
